It’s been a dozen years since my family has been living in our house, and its true to say that some of the interiors are in serious need for some TLC.
Sadly both the bathroom and kitchen seem to have reached the point of no return and it looks like a total revamp is going to be required.
The problem is where do you begin? Currently there appears to be a vast amount of kitchens and bathrooms on the market. Should you be thinking about a traditional style, maybe modern, or just go for the wow factor?
Currently a few of our local DIY shops are offering some great deals on their kitchens and bathrooms, but is buying at the local DIY store the best decision?
It might be that you may be best suited buying from a specialist company. At the moment it would appear that a lot of the larger companies have some absolutely great deals on offer. With the current economic market as it is, the choice is yours and by shopping around you will be able to play companies off against each other, ensuring you get offered the very best deals possible.
Of course, please bear in mind that even though you may seem to be getting a great deal, these companies are still making a profit out of you. Why not try and push just that little bit harder to see how far they will drop their prices, after all you have nothing to loose by trying.
Another important consideration when revamping any room is accessories. Ethical kitchen accessories can be have surprisingly striking effect on the room as a whole. They have to enhance the room and blend in with the style you have chosen for your kitchen. The bathroom is a bit of an easier room to decorate. Accessories for the bathroom can be easily mixed and matched, and changed from month to month.
The issue we now have is if we decorate the kitchen and bathroom, unfortunately our lounge is going to look a bit old and tired. Probably we could just invest in some home furnishings. These could certainly transform the room and would not have to cost a fortune. With all this work going on, it looks like it is going to be a couple of very busy months ahead.
